BASUG as it is popularly called has been officially accredited and recognized by the National Universities Commission (NUC).

This University is located in Bauchi State – one of the 36 Nigerian states and was created in 2011, many decades after Nigeria independence.

Its main campus is in Gadau which comprises faculty of Sciences & Arts, with other campuses in Misau and Bauchi respectively, and this Uni is one of the state universities in Nigeria.
