  • Once you insulate the floor, you need to install the PEX tubes. If you have already installed the Crete-heat mesh, then you can easily install the tubes on the mesh. But if you install foam board then you need to staple the tubes with a special gun.
  • After you install the tubes, you need to install the aluminum heat emission fins or plates. You can choose thicker plates to increase the heat transfer rate. Aluminum plates will absorb the heat from the tubes, and it will transfer the heat to your floor. You must cover the entire floor with these plates, especially when you are installing hydronic floor heating in your bathroom or carpeted rooms. For your living rooms, you can leave some space between these plates.
  • Apart from that, you need to install an aluminum reflective barrier. For hydronic floor heating, you need to install a boiler, different types of valve, and other necessary components.
