So, I made my first $100 AdSense earnings in less than 30 days and qualified to receive payment the following month.
So, on the 21st I got a message from Google Adsense Network that my Adsense payment is on its way!

Yes, my payment was sent in 2 days after, 2:00 pm.
If you’ve gone through my Google Adsense guide you’re probably asking; how can you receive your Google Adsense earnings here in Nigeria easily? Right here I’ll explain all you need to do which include:
- Adsense payment requirements
- Adsense payment options for Nigerian bloggers
- Adding your desired payment option (what I recommend)
AdSense Withdrawal Requirements
You can’t just qualify for receiving Google Adsense payments without meeting some requirements.
- You must have a website
- You must create an Adsense account
- Your Adsense must be approved
- You must verify our address (the one you used when registering, through Adsense PIN received)
- You must verify your address
- You must reach or exceed the minimum required withdrawal threshold ($100 in most cases)
Those set of conditions are a must. If your Adsense account hasn’t been approved, then you have to go through my Adsense approval checklist.
You sure know by now that you have to earn at least $10 to be able to get the Adsense PIN, if you haven’t, you’ll see a red notification bar in your Adsense dashboard.

To verify your location, just go to settings, account information, then verify address.
NOTE: If you’ve not verified your address, it doesn’t mean you can’t continue earning, you just can’t receive payment yet if you haven’t. Immediately you reach $100, you’ll be prompted to add a payment option.
You wouldn’t want to get paid pennies right? That’s why with some practical tips you can improve your AdSense Cost Per Click.
Now, that brings us to the real question. What payment option should you use?
AdSense Payment Options For Nigerian Bloggers
There are 2 Google Adsense payment options available to Nigerian publishers, these are Bank Cheque and Wire Transfer.
How about we go with what I’ll recommend for Nigerians?
Cheque option is easy but the only downside to it is the delay in receiving your payment. I’m sure if you’ve received your Adsense PIN, it took you around 4 to 6 weeks, right?
That’s how long it will take before you get your check mailed to you. Honestly, I haven’t tried this, but the other option I’ve tried is faster – its the bank wire transfer.
Electronic Funds Transfer (ETF)
Electronics funds transfer (ETF) also known as Bank Wire Transfer is what I’ve used and recommended that you use.
Most of the commercial banks in Nigeria should be able to help you receive Wire Transfer from Google payments.
The Likes of Guaranty Trust Bank, Zenith Bank, First Bank, and others are what many Nigerian publishers are using. I’ll explain soon.
You’ll need a domiciliary account because you’ll be receiving your payments in Doll
The only reason you will need a domiciliary account is if you’re interested in receiving your funds in USD.

Nice post. I’ve the some questions,
1. By using GTBank Domiciliary Account, can one withdraw the money at anytime?
2. Will the funds withdrawal be in naira or dollars?
3. Can one transfer the money in dollars to a friend’s naira account?
4. What’s the advantage and disadvantage of using Dom account over normal bank account for AdSense payment?
I put my FCMB details, my first $100 was sent by Google Adsense but I’ve not received it till now😪. I’m going to open a gt bank account for future payments. Anyway, how long did it take to process your first Adsense payments?
I’ve never used FCMB anyway. More so, it didn’t take long at all. Once I reached $100, I waited for the next month as usual, and it was sent on 21st, in 3 days time, it got to my GT dom account. For how long have you been waiting?
Thanks. I just got approved
Congrats
