Some of these hospitals already use SMART and wireless technology technology in patient’s rooms which transmit their vital statistics directly to a database, enabling round the clock monitoring with minimum patient disruption.
While intra-operative teleconferencing allows doctors to speak to pathologists without leaving the operating theatre, and computer aided navigation provides spinal surgical treatments that previously would not have existed.
The face of hospital care and surgeries are incorporating the very latest medical advancements using a range of technologies to help improve treatments and aid medical staff learning, which ultimately means better diagnosis and outcomes for patients.
